| hitch-hiking crab | 12 Dec 2003 17:03 GMT | 21 |
I got a couple new pieces of LR yesterday and today I noticed a very large crab in the tank. It's about 1.5 inches in diameter and looks like a sort of green\grey color. Definitely not an emerald, he looks very stocky (fat claws and shell) and has black pinchers. I have only really ...

Anyone have experience with AquaC EV180 skimmer? I'm using the required Mag 7 pump. Makes nice foam but next to nothing gets up into the cup. I have adjusted the waste gate from wide open which sets the water level to 1 inch below the reaction chamber as per instructions. and I ...

| US Aquarium Brand Protein Skimm | 11 Dec 2003 03:19 GMT | 1 |
The only protein skimmer I've ever owned is 20" (120 gal) hang-on-back by US Aquarium. I suspect that it's not such a great skimmer but am unsure what to expect since this is the only one I've ever used.

| "Passed" my tapwater test | 11 Dec 2003 02:43 GMT | 2 |
Our tapwater test was pretty much a success. I did find one flaw in my design but it is easily remedied and best that I do it now instead of later. Details and photos at http://www.cearbhaill.com/tapwater_test.htm

| How bad is this? | 11 Dec 2003 01:13 GMT | 3 |
Today I wanted to add a couple of power heads to my reef. Like a dumb $h!+ I put them in the tank and plugged them in to make sure they worked. While I placed them and was trying to hide the cords behind rockwork, they unded up pointing downward and stirring up about half of my

This is going to seem like a stupid question but what is the proper way to feed one of these. I purchased one from the LFS for $1.99 on sale and was like ok cool good deal. Well I get it home and this thing is a cannibal. After acclimation I dropped it in the tank and right away it ...

I added a long flat piece of live rock two days ago and today I noticed that underneath on the bottom of it are a bunch or larger air bubbles. Is this an indicator of something wrong?
