Have a new reef tank which was filled 5 days ago - water tests seem ok
except for high KH which I'm not sure what to do about. It's possible too
much buffer was added by the supplier who installed my tank.

if i put a glass top on my aquarium about 1/4" above the water level will it
hinder the gas exchange? It won't cover the whole top, I need about 2" at
the back for the wires and hoses and such..
my water surface is pretty turbulant, but I'm wondering if having the glass

I have 2 175 Icecaps and 2 blue moons why is it that 50 % of the time
the Icecaps are broken , shorted or back for repair and no trouble with
the Bluemoons?

Hi Ya,
I just got a 240 and have now had it set up for two months.  I have a
euroreef 8-3 skimmer.  Will that be good enough or do I need to get
something bigger and better?

I am using a cascade 1500 with matrix biofilter media. I was wondering if I
should run the filter without the filter pads that came with it, or run it
with them in? I removed the carbon baggie [as per the lfs advise], but kept
just in case. Any suggestions?

I am currently topping off my evaporation with kalk.  The kalk is pumped
into the display tank using a medical pump.  I also incorperate a sump for
my setup.  The sump contains my euroreef cs1, the refugiumand the return
pump.  Does it make any difference at all to pump kalk in the ...

I was watching a documentry tonight and they said the coral on the great
barrier reef spawn only on the night of a full moon during November only.
Do use guys/girls with coral tanks ever get spawning ? or do you ever
see it ?, or do we have to simulate the moon light on that night ...
