My son just gave me a MH setup with reflector. It was a gardening grow light
that he bought several years ago.  It has a Phillips MH400/U Bulb. Is this
the type bulb I should be using? Are there better options? I can't believe
how big the ballast is for it. Way bigger than ...

What is the Berlin Method?
Is that whre you use a DSB, LR and a refugium as your filtration?
If not, what do you call that type of setup? (besides the best, lol)

All,
I have noticed tonight something I have not seen in my books or can find on
the net. I noticed these worms crawling out of some holes on my live rock
some I would say close to 3 inches long. Looks like a rather thin catepillar

got a couple questions
are you still playing with acrylic?
do you still culture phyto?
do you cultre rotifers?

When I turned my lights on tonight, I noticed there were many slug-like
critters on the glass. I tried taking a picture, but it didn't come out well
...
They were <1mm in length, transparent with a black dot-like thing inside

I built a new top down box to fit my camera last night, and gave it a test run.
This one is smaller, rather streamlined, and allows me to access the buttons
more easily.

Maroon clownfish approx 3.5 years old in 4 year old established 75 gal reef.

his skimmer(hee-hee) and I'm getting things as I go along...
but a hydrometer? Where do you find them, what kind is good, ok, best,
etc.... brand names matter?

Anyone have experience with mixing different types of anemones?
In a 75g, I already have a Sebae but I am thing of adding either a long
tentacle, or a Yellow African.
