My son just gave me a MH setup with reflector. It was a gardening grow light
that he bought several years ago.  It has a Phillips MH400/U Bulb. Is this
the type bulb I should be using? Are there better options? I can't believe
how big the ballast is for it. Way bigger than ...

All,
I have noticed tonight something I have not seen in my books or can find on
the net. I noticed these worms crawling out of some holes on my live rock
some I would say close to 3 inches long. Looks like a rather thin catepillar

When I turned my lights on tonight, I noticed there were many slug-like
critters on the glass. I tried taking a picture, but it didn't come out well

I built a new top down box to fit my camera last night, and gave it a test run.
This one is smaller, rather streamlined, and allows me to access the buttons

I have a slight problem microbubbles. I belive i have just to much water
flow through my sump for the bubble trap to be effective. My drain line is 1
1/2" coming in and 1" outlet to Iwaki pump. I can see the micro bubbles
going right through the bubble trap. I have put a filter sock ...
