I do water changes with ro/di water. I take out 5G, and I have a 5G pail of fresh water mixed to 1.023. Is there anything else I should be adding to the water when I mix the 5G pail or is all I need already in the salt mix? I use red sea salt.

My son's 29g sumpless FOWLR kept getting surface scum, which inhibits gas exchange. I was sick of it, so I built this little box to help keep the surface clean. view from top:

I plan on implementing the Stockman overflow. Use this link http://www.rl180reef.com/pages/standpipe/standpipe-ken_stockman.htm Does one position the overflow pipe submerged, partially submerged, or completely above the waterline AS IT ENTERS THE SUMP.

I was at the LFS today and bought a horseshoe crab. I trusted this LFS and have for years. An example was for the long tentacle anemone. I was gonna buy one but they guy said not a good idea cuz their feet were hurt when they were harvested and he showed me the injuries.
