I have a 27 gallon tank, I do regular water changes, and keep the
balance right on.  There is no sign of red slime or anything else.
Over the last 3 days, I had 3 fish die.  Don't know why.  One had been
in the tank for over 8 months, the others less, but pretty long.

Tonight I done a test for the level of calcium in my tank, last week it read
around 420, tonight it's under 20, what brand or product should I look for
to boost the levels back up, and can I do a calcium addition in one go or
should it be slowly added ?

When I setup my tank, I bought a "Hang-On Wet/Dry Filter" with a built in
Protein skimmer.  I did this because there is very little space where the
tank is.  I literally cut a hole in the wall and dropped it in there.

The concept of a modular live sand system has crossed my mind on

curious what everyone does with respect to cleaning/maintaining the cleaner
itself ... with my older ones, I just rinsed with R/O water and kept it
aside. But, I don't think this really cleaned it, and ...

I have this alge and I have been scrubbing it away for about 2 months.. This
is getting old very fast.. I was wondering if any one has a suggestion on to
rid my tank of this ?? The LFS told me to let it grow and that will allow it

Is it possible to use the Bak-Pak 2 without the filter media?
I've got a small 15 gal tank with low bioload (2 fish) and a small chunk of

I just noticed a small pure white crab, about the size of a nickle, in the
branches of some pulsing Xenia I bought yesterday. Does someone have a good

Just took delivery of 30gals of natural seawater to my home. No more
