Painting House & Tank22 Jan 2004 05:54 GMT3
Someone in my house has the brilliant idea of painting the house on a
cold January weekend so we cannot open the house and ventilate it.  My
45 gallon tank will be in a separate room and no paint will be applied
in the room, but the whole inside of the house will be painted.  Is ...
Seaclone?22 Jan 2004 03:53 GMT12
Hi;
Any opinions on the Seaclone 100 for an 80G reef?  The principle seems good
and the price is right.
Thanks,

I think I'm done.  Famous last words, I know.  I added a hob refugium
because I couldn't have the sump/refugium I wanted in the too small
cabinet. I didn't really need it because the mandarin is quite plump,
but in the spirit of not leaving well enough alone, I added it.  I'd
coralline coming back after 2 yrs in storage?21 Jan 2004 23:55 GMT4
All right I didn't think this was possible.
After my tank crashed I moved the hole shabang into basement
and simply kept  a few power heads running, no heater, no lights,
and kept the water above the rock but not really caring about the salt
Percula Saga21 Jan 2004 21:05 GMT2
One of the attractions of this hobby is seeing a percula, nestled cosily in
the tentacles of it's home/anemone. It was with this in mind that I started
the present tank.
About 3 months ago I purchased an anemenomenome with two resident percula's.
Looking for private supplier of fish / inverts Long Island NY.21 Jan 2004 18:47 GMT1
Quite a number of years ago I cam across an aquariest who was running an import
business from his home. He sold livestock privately at a terrific savings when
compared to the LFS. As I have lost contact with him, does anyone have
knowledge of any one doing this currently in NY(long ...
Naso and Yellow Tang compatibility21 Jan 2004 18:21 GMT2
I'd like to add a naso tang to my 135, but I've had a yellow tang in
there for the last 6 months. I'm worrked that they will battle it out.
Anyone else have both naso and yellow tangs in hte same tank ? How are
they together ?
Restoring Acrylic Tank21 Jan 2004 16:00 GMT6
I have had the fotunate luck of strolling through my fathers garage to
find a 55 gallon Sea Clear acrylic aquarium.  After wiping the drool from my
mouth when I was told I could have it, I began thinking about how to restore
it.

Alk / Calcium problems20 Jan 2004 21:23 GMT7
I am having some problems maintaining calcium and alkalinity.
Lately I have been testing several times a night, in batches of 3. Three in
regular res mode, by following the posted directions. And three in what I
call super-res, by doubling the components.
Colored anemone?20 Jan 2004 17:19 GMT2
How do you understand the term "colored anemone"?
http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?siteid=23&pCatId=604
Does it mean it is artificially colored with food dye?
In that case, how long the artificial coloration will last?
brine shrimp, spinach, algea food questions20 Jan 2004 13:50 GMT2
Hey all,
a few questions about brine shrimp and spinach for a reef tank.
1) I cannot even see the brine shrimp with a magnifying glass, how do I know
they are hatched after 48 hours in water/salt/light/air flow?  I see stuff,
