B Cardinals and artficial Urchins10 Feb 2004 14:09 GMT2
My pair of B. Cardinals have finally mated and the male is mouth
brooding at this time.  I have seen reference to the use of artficial
sea urchins, as a place for the male to deposit the fry.  Apparently,
this provides a safe haven for the fry and makes it easier to remove

I have a home made hood with Ice Cap 660 ballast 3 110w actinic white
bulbs and 1 110w super actinic bulbs over a 75 gal tank.   I dont have
a reflector built into the hood. Is that really necessary?   Also, I
use the glass canopy the tank came with. Is that a good idea?  Does

crazy, and after all of this I'm still married.  :)
30g Sump10 Feb 2004 05:49 GMT4
Hi;
Is there any reason I can't cut and silicon glass partitions into my 30g
glass tank to turn it into a Levenson-style Sump/Refugium?  I thought I'd
use glass for the bubble trap and a piece of 1/4" plexiglass or acrylic
cleaning magnet  which one?10 Feb 2004 05:48 GMT3
I'm tired of having to reach into the tank to clean off algae.  Which of the
available cleaning magnets would you suggest?  I have a 55 gal. TruVu
acrylic tank.
Thanks!

take (gph)?

I have had a 29 gallon tank setup for the past 24 hours and by the middle of
the week I should have 45 pounds of FIJI Live Rock to add.  Should I be
looking into somekind of cleanup crew at this point?  If so, what should I
get?  I see a lot of cleanup crew packages around.
