I have a home made hood with Ice Cap 660 ballast 3 110w actinic white bulbs and 1 110w super actinic bulbs over a 75 gal tank. I dont have a reflector built into the hood. Is that really necessary? Also, I use the glass canopy the tank came with. Is that a good idea? Does

Hi; Is there any reason I can't cut and silicon glass partitions into my 30g glass tank to turn it into a Levenson-style Sump/Refugium? I thought I'd use glass for the bubble trap and a piece of 1/4" plexiglass or acrylic

I have had a 29 gallon tank setup for the past 24 hours and by the middle of the week I should have 45 pounds of FIJI Live Rock to add. Should I be looking into somekind of cleanup crew at this point? If so, what should I get? I see a lot of cleanup crew packages around.
