Why is it that when you take Marine Biology in Unversity for 4 years racking up a debt of about $65,000. that you own make between $25,000-35,000 a year to live on. With that kind of money your debt will take 15 years to pay back.

I'm having a Green Hair algae problem in my 125 gallon, so I bought a Phosphate test kit because I suspected this was the cause. The Salifert kit is reading zero which is pretty suprising. I tested mulitple times, including a "higher sensitivity" test which

Instant Ocean is the brand I've seen the most, but what are the "good" brands, and the brands to avoid? I understand that some have a higher phosphate\nitrate content than others. tia

Vie been making some new pipework for my SCWD powered return system its made out of STD plastic overflow pipe, it uses solvent cement to fix, question is how long do I have to let it cure before putting it into use? Nick.

Am setting up fish/live rock 20g and will use full spectrum 6500k 20w x2. I want to convert this to a reef tank in the future. Will this lighting be adequate? Any opinions or ideas are welcome thanx- Steven --

What do you feed a sea urchin ? The type that is a sphere with protruding spikes that looks like a WW II mine ? Are they just filter feeders ? If so do they eat like giant clams ? Or , coral ? I would not think they would eat like an anemone. Thanks.

In a FOWLR, I've getting a bit confused about what I'm reading about lighting. So, straight up, is the hood I constructed for my fresh tank, (4x40 NO flourescent) sufficient for fish and live rock, no Inverts, (maybe a shrimp or 2)?

Marc, I was just looking at your majano page.... please tell me it is not the same thing as the BTA the LFS sold me. It looks very similar. Maybe not... it is difficult to tell. What is the difference?

I am in the process of starting a fish and live rock tank of 20g and at some point wish to convert to a reef tank. Will be using 20w 6500k x2 for lighting.Would this be adequate for a reef tank of 20g? Any ideas or recommendations are welcome. Thanx- Steven
