Overflow choices09 Feb 2004 01:44 GMT5
Any opinions by the group on external overflow / prefilters. Need to upgrade due to overflow handling capacity. Present unit is an "Amiracle" continuous siphon approx 500 gal / hr flow. Upgraded return pump from Rio 2500 to a Sen 700, split the returns and throttled the output ...
Marine Biology08 Feb 2004 22:28 GMT2
Why is it that when you take Marine Biology in Unversity for 4 years
racking up a debt of about $65,000. that you own make between
$25,000-35,000 a year to live on.  With that kind of money your debt
will take 15 years to pay back.

Phosphate test kit because I suspected this was the cause.

Instant Ocean is the brand I've seen the most, but what are the "good"

SEA URCHIN FOOD ?08 Feb 2004 13:13 GMT2
What do you feed a sea urchin ?  The type that is a sphere with protruding
spikes that looks like a WW II mine ?   Are they just filter feeders ? If so
do they eat like giant clams ?  Or  ,  coral ?  I would not think they would
eat like an anemone.  Thanks.
light...08 Feb 2004 08:31 GMT3
In a FOWLR, I've getting a bit confused about what I'm reading about
lighting. So, straight up, is the hood I constructed for my fresh tank,
(4x40 NO flourescent) sufficient for fish and live rock, no Inverts, (maybe
a shrimp or 2)?
