New 75 FO07 Feb 2004 02:55 GMT1
I'm setting up me new tank, and this is my first attempt at marine. I've
acquired the tank and stand\hood, and begun building the wet/dry, but I'd
like some recommendations on a couple things. Keep in mind, I'd like to keep
the cost down wherever possible.
Plankton reactors06 Feb 2004 23:26 GMT3
Ive been told that you can buy or make a simple plankton reactor to
provide a never ending supply of food for corals and anemones.
Ive seen what the unit looks like but was wondering if anyone had made
one and with what success? Do you have any tips too!

Damn You Maxi-Jet!!!06 Feb 2004 18:10 GMT7
LoL!  I went to SEVEN Local Fish Stores today trying to find a Maxi-Jet
1200.
The Sixth store was the only one to carry Maxi-Jet but they only had the 600
and the 900, not the 1200.
Can I add to my DSB??06 Feb 2004 09:11 GMT4
I am having a problem with cyno and one of the things that was suggested was
increasing currant flow. The problem with that is when I run more current
over the sand it ends up digging holes. I have been told by my LFS that the
sand will get heavier as time goes on but it has been ...

Marc - sump makeover06 Feb 2004 07:05 GMT1
Hey I managed to convert my sump to a fuge. I got my husband to cut some
plexi and made a section taller. Put 3" of live sand in bottom with caulerpa
and rock on a second layer grid not touching the sand. Next section has sand
and caulerpa in it. Last section has my skimmer and the ...

I have a 120 gal. Reef tank in the making. There is plenty of current in the

hole drilled every inch. After feeding, especially when adding Zoecon,
Curious why algae died off in my tank06 Feb 2004 03:43 GMT3
I have got a 75 gallon marine tank that's been set up for about 2
months now. All my algae and plant-life has died off in the tank, and
I'm not sure why. I was hoping someone could explain. As it will be
obvious here, I'm not very experienced in the hobby.

Marc,
Thanks again for your great website.  I took the liberty of following your
design and constructed a closed loop for my 58 gallon tank.  Had a minor
issue with some microbubbles at the start until I realized that I forgot to
