Maroon Clown Behavior02 Feb 2004 21:54 GMT4
I have two GSM clowns, one is almost twice the size as the other.
They have been making what I suspect is a nest.  The big one has been
"fanning" a large hole in the sand.  The two of them have been hanging
around that hole all day.

Kent Poly Ox02 Feb 2004 15:58 GMT3
I have been using this as per directions 3 drops per gallon morning and
night to try and fight cyno. Has anyone had good or bed experiences with
this product? So far I haven't really seen an improvement and the cyno is
coming more rapidly. Presently I remove it by hand.I removed ...

Stange Readings?02 Feb 2004 05:11 GMT8
I've had a generic Ca Test Kit for a while now.  It always read about 550ppm
but I was never sure because the color change was rather gradual.
Well, I finally got a couple of Salifert test kits and I was surprised to
see that even THIS test kit says I am over 500ppm.
Clownfish war02 Feb 2004 01:11 GMT4
For the past three weeks the two Clarkii that I
purchased together got along like peas and carrots.
Now all of a sudden they're at each other like worst
enemies. Before I bought them I noticed they swam

Live plants shipped without heatpacks01 Feb 2004 19:29 GMT8
I wanted to purchase live plants on eBay but during
a routine pre-bidding conversation with the seller
I found out she is not including any heatpacks!
I explained I live in Chicago and we had 0'F last week.
Tank ready?01 Feb 2004 18:38 GMT3
My 55gal tank has been circulating for ±4 weeks now.  After about 2 weeks I
added some live rock and ceramic rocks.  There is still more for plenty
more - Have ±22lbs rock so guess about another 25lbs due to be added.
Testing for Ammonia and Nitrites today revealed this is below ...
French Angelfish problem01 Feb 2004 18:32 GMT3
My angelfish has developed some sort of damage to its skin between his
mouth and eye.  The best way to describe it is in that area there is
no skin and you can see the flesh (meaty part) of the fish.  He is
alone in a 55 gal tank with salinity s.g. of 1.024.  The fish refuses
Weird growth on my live rock01 Feb 2004 18:03 GMT2
Hey all, I recently moved my aquarium to my new apartment, and I notice a
new kind of organism which has emerged from one of my pieces of live rock.
It is a white milky cocoon looking deal with some denseness in the base of
the cocoon attached to the live rock. It is white with ...
Mag v. Rio01 Feb 2004 13:47 GMT10
I have noticed that people seem to dump on RIO pumps a lot. Not just in the
newsgroups, but at LFS and such too.
I was wondering why this is? I've never had any Mag Drive pumps but I have a
couple RIO's that have been nothing but useful. Less than 2 years all be it.
Protein skimmer advice needed01 Feb 2004 13:01 GMT5
I have a tunzi 3130 protein skimmer sat inside my 125 gallon tank and
would like to get an alternative unit to sit inside the cabinet
underneath.

Air bubbles in tank01 Feb 2004 08:58 GMT2
I have a 120 gal. Reef tank in the making. There is plenty of current in the
tank with 4 maxijets and a 30" spreader bar in the return line with a 1/4"
hole drilled every inch. After feeding, especially when adding Zoecon,
millions of tiny bubbles pour from the return and the power ...
