Anyone have any practical uses for all the water going down the drain when making RO? Would the RO waste support a fish-only setup....brine shrimp hatchery...freshwater setup...etc? Just curious.

Tank bioload interesting concept I know this is a somewhat common question, but I am looking for a little more detail if possible. We have all heard of ratios of inches of fish per gallon, for example 1 inch per 5 gallons of water.

opps sorry i didt mention the size..its a 48x18x12. picked up a bit of live rock.. and 4 pieces of ocean rock...i brought a RO unit as i figured its cheaper than buying it from the lfs. so at the mo my tank stands with the water at 75f..2 pieces of live

I have been looking at the Icecap 660 Ballast, running 2 48" URI 50/50 110W and 2 48" URI Blue Actinic 110W for my 75 Gal reef. Is it possible to time the Actinics separately using the single ballast or will I need 2? Also, does this VHO solution seem ok? Am I overlooking

I was moving some rock tonight and pulled one from the bottom back so I could get the overflow out and came across this coral. The pic is posted in A.B.A I know I've seen it before but can't place it. sorry about the cloudiness but the rock has only been in the tank for 10 days
