| lighting question | 20 Feb 2004 23:26 GMT | 5 |
I have a 48 * 13 * 20 55 gal tank. I currently have 130 watts from a customsealife smartlite. I am interested but not locked in to the idea of getting an anemone. Anyone know about what types would be appropriate with this amount of light, or how much more light I might need?

I am preparing to get an under-sink RO system with pressurized storage tank for both drinking and aquarium use, and have a question about the auto shut-off (ASO) valves included in most systems. When the ASO valve is activated it shuts down the input to the RO cartridge and

| Where is everybody getting there salt? | 20 Feb 2004 15:39 GMT | 23 |
Now this is not a debate on which salt to use, just where you get it and the cost. I use IO and had about 1/3 of a bucket still good, but i'm out. The wife went to one of the large chains today to get more for me but they wanted $75. Thats nuts. I paid $34 for my last bucket. prices ...

The local supermarket has a large machine at which one can purchase water. Reading all the fine print, it claims to be; carbon filtered UV treated (2x)

| Two more crabs for ID | 20 Feb 2004 07:15 GMT | 3 |
I suspect these two are the same type. The second one is smaller, and browner in colour than the other. I have heaps of them, and several can be seen crawling over my silver gorgonian at night. The big black crab - check out the claws on this one!

Get something to drink, this could take a while... I've had my 75g reef up for just over 6 months now and just when things got going, I gotta tear it down. I've gone through all the algae cycles, I am sustaining a couple of anemones, I have a Green Mandarin that seems happy,
