I have a calcium ractor, been runnig it for about a year. Normally the Ca++ was around 400 ppm. thought everything was good with ph of 8.0 - 8.2. Then recalibrated my pH meter and now reading 7.6!! Yikes... Started adding buffer daily. pH was slowly rising, now to about

Just paid 125 bucks (plus 20 shipping) for a 250W 10K MH retro kit. Comes with a 18" batwing reflector, socket, 10K bulb, 10 foot ballast to bulb cord, 3.5 foot ballast to wall cord and a magnetic ballast in a steel case. This is going over my 46 gallon bow front lagoon.

If I was to setup a tank for the purpose of growing some coral cuttings what would my lighting be and how deep should the tank be ?, I was hoping to stick with fluro's and a shallow tank for now as it's cheaper to run.

In a nutshell the problem is my 70G tank established 15mths just shows no sign of growth in sps, lps, softies everything thives (just) but for example the softies never quite mqnqge to fully expand, LPS bearly expand etc etc.
