Euroreef/ASM question26 Apr 2004 03:52 GMT2
I have noticed that the filter on the output of this skimmer builds up
frequently with debris. I have an ASM. How often do people clean it, or have
you eliminated it completely. I suspect it has the potential to be nitrate
factory.
Can you have too much skimmer?25 Apr 2004 19:25 GMT2
I've got a 29G FO, with trickle filter.  I'm wanting to add a protien
skimmer, most
likely a Remora ... but thought about getting a Remora PRO so when I get
the funds
Lighting - Corals and Anemones25 Apr 2004 19:01 GMT9
I just added a 96W 50/50 PC light to my tank. I used to run a NO 30W 50/50
bulb. My tank is a 36" 40G tank. What kind of corals and anemones can I have
with just the 96W 50/50 PC? Would I be able to have a larger selection if I
supplemented the 96W 50/50 PC with a 30W 10K NO light? ...

Just ordered a few pink and white feather duster and have questions about
placing them in the tank. Should I just drop them in and leave them alone?
will they move around and find a place they like and then attach themselves?
Do you glue them down where I want them to be? maybe use ...
Please read this serious reefers.24 Apr 2004 23:08 GMT12
Has anyone noticed that filthy perverted stuff is being put on this
website? This is a website strictly for talking about reef
environments. Aquaria marine misc. is now nothing but junk top to
bottom. Probably all viruses if you do look into them. Is there no
Scratch Removal?24 Apr 2004 09:48 GMT6
After removing large amount of coraline algae from a somewhat
neglected tank, I find that the Urchins have scrached the acrylic so
bad, it looks foggy.
Is their a way to polish the inside of an acrylic tank without

HELP with moving saltwater tank/corals24 Apr 2004 01:57 GMT2
I'm moving my 50gallon reef about 7 hours away...
Any suggestions on moving the fish/corals.
I've got the local petsmart to agree to giving me some oxygen for the
few fish I'm moving.
New to hobby, fine crushed coral blowing around23 Apr 2004 18:13 GMT1
Subject says it all.  Just 3 weeks ago I moved into a new apartment
and setup an existing 75 gal freshwater heavily planted tank as a SW
system.
The FW stuff was moved to another tank I up upstairs and the 75 gal

Does anyone know of any websites(that ship to Canada) that you can purchase
live rock, sand or fish from?
The prices at the LFS here are crazy.  I'm just looking to explore all my
options.
Diatom eaters22 Apr 2004 18:14 GMT3
I'm waiting for my Nitrites to settle down as my LR cycles.  It's been over
a week even though it feels more like a month!!
I'm getting the standard brown diatomic algae growing practically all over
the place now (No lights are currently running yet) and I was hoping to get
T5s and temperature22 Apr 2004 16:42 GMT8
I have a 4ft, 18" deep tank that is a (UK) temperate tank.  I think of
it as a reef tank as I have a DSB and live rock, and much invertebrate
life on the rock (although the inverts aren't as spectacular as the
coral pics I see links to here).
Big Skimmer Good?21 Apr 2004 23:46 GMT1
Is there any reason NOT to get the biggest skimmer you can? Is it possible

Thanks
