| Test Kits | 28 May 2004 03:15 GMT | 17 |
I do not have the best eyesight in the world, so every test I do seems way off according to how I read the colour charts. Last week my kit and my eyes claimed that I had a PH of 1.2. Now I know this had to be wrong as my hand did not disolve when I put it in the tank, so I bought a ...

| Aiptasia ID and getting it out | 27 May 2004 18:55 GMT | 1 |
My tank has just finished cycling and I noticed what I think is an aiptasia. It is about 1/2" tall and has a 1/4" tube (I'm positive it's not a tube worm), white/clear in color and attached to a small piece of white base rock. I've read that usually they are brownish but ...

| Nitrites increasing slowly | 27 May 2004 11:24 GMT | 8 |
If my nitrites are rising slowly over a few weeks to a few months, what should I add to the tank to lower it ?. I want to try and go with the natural method, no additives. I am hoping to get info soon about making a new filter/sump/refugium from a 3 or 4 foot tank.

My tank is now all set for the real stocking of fish that I intended. My questions are regarding the order of introduction as well as compatabillity issues that others out there may have experienced with this list. As an FYI, my system is a 240 FOWLR, 180lbs LR and the only ...

Last night I took a powerful flashlight to my aquarium to see if there is anything happening in there at night. I was shocked!!! My maderin was so white I thought it was dead! I did not lose as many hermits as I thought, as my 140g seemed to have hundreds all over the place.

| Compatibility Issue flame angel and yellow tang | 24 May 2004 20:22 GMT | 3 |
I have just bought a small yellow tang. My flame angel has taken a dislike to it and chases, nips at. Surprising, my Hippo Tang (Largest fish in tank) has been swimming with and "protecting it" from the flame angel. I was told they flame and yellow were compatible...obviously there ...
