| The perfect protein skimmer.. | 30 Jun 2004 06:35 GMT | 3 |
I've used several different kinds of protein skimmers and I've never been completely happy with any of them. I don't like the fact that almost all the venturi or bio-ball skimmers (the ones that depend on pressure/flow to create the small bubbles) use

| Booster Pump Installation | 30 Jun 2004 01:15 GMT | 3 |
Hello all... received my Aquatec 8800 RO booster pump on Thursday. Yippee ! But there were no installation instructions with it, so I was going to a.s_U_ME that the pump is installed between the carbon and the RO, but then thought I'd ask you guys first. Should it go there,

Can you take a look at these and let me know if they are worth it or not? A guy in our club was considering buying one, and I figured you'd know the score. http://www.hannainst.com/products/ion/93752.htm#Spec:

Anyone here ever use this stuff before? It came recommended as the best.... The instructions say it "might" turn the water a little brown but it would disappear quickly.

| Nitrate test - wait time? | 29 Jun 2004 04:17 GMT | 2 |
My nitrate test kit says to wait five minutes before comparing the colour against the chart. I assume usually this would be for the colour to develop and if anything, show a higher reading (and stabilise). However I've noticed that after the five minutes I get a

| Aqua Medic Protein Skimmer Question | 28 Jun 2004 13:35 GMT | 5 |
I've been having great success with this protein skimmer until a few weeks ago. It does not seem to be producing as many bubbles now, and certainly not as much "stuff" in the collection area. I have removed the pump, opened and

I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with the jebo protein skimmers. They seem cheap compared to other skimmers.

| pump suggestions & fish compatibility | 28 Jun 2004 00:10 GMT | 4 |
I need a good pump for sump return for a new 180g FOWLR. The tank is not set up yet but I'd like to get all the pieces before making the change from the 60g. I'm currently using a mag7 for return on the 60g. The old tank will be my new sump.

Hi Guys... I've had this blue (or maybe aqua colored) or gelatinous stuff growing in my tank since... forever - 18 months anyway. It was dime sized, but now it's spreading over some of my green star polyps and I'm thinking

| Kenya Tree fragging | 27 Jun 2004 00:25 GMT | 1 |
Hi, I got a small cuttling of kenya tree or colt coral today from my friend. The frag is small, about 1" cut from its tree crown - I placed it in a small containter with bubbling water and I am not sure what exactly should I do with it...
