For an experiment I put 20 drops of decapped brine shrimp eggs in one of my
phytoplankton cultures and so far they hatched, it's been 3 days now and
everything is going good, the phyto has increased and the shrimp seem to be
doing well. Do brine shrimp eat phytoplankton ? I am going ...

I would like to know what your recommendations are for the best source
of mail-order rock.  (I live in LA.)

Does anyone succussful setup a fish tank by using those plastic 5 gallon
all-in-one tank?

HELP!
bought a new flame angel 2 days ago, looked fine (I think) when I got
him, now I noticed his left eye is slightly cloudy.  Fins look good.
His behavior otherwise appears fine, and the rest of him looks fine.

 How many inverts (snails, shrimp and hermits) can I safely put in a 12
gallon tank? I have 5# of live rock and 5# of live sand already in
place. I'm not going to add any fish or other inverts (corals, etc.).

during a bit of maintenance I moved a couple of small pieces of live rock to
discover that these were covered in a lovely reddish coralline algae but the
surfaces covered but the MH direct light was smothered in hair algae that
has to be removed daily.
