I found this in my reef tank about month ago and I have no luck
finding out what this animal is. Can anybody ID this animal? I have

* 72gal tank with 120lbs Fiji LR, 5" DSB, yellow tang, percula clown, a few
soft coral (mushrooms, zooanthids, xenia, leather)
* 15gal sump with EV-180

Hi all. Does a reef tank need actinic lights? I have 2 - T8's 5000K
overdriven 4x and 2 actinic T12's overdriven 4x also. I only have some
mushrooms, green star polyps and brown button polyps and they are all doing
great under these lights. I figure what if I just run all 5000K T8's ...

i have an old rena quartz uv30steriliser.the casing is quartz .the tube
needs replacing & it appears as if it has been siliconed into the holder &
has huge black rubber o rings.anyone with experience on changing this models
bulb.unit was from france.cant find anything on google.

I've recently setup a 60g tank with 30kg of live rock. I've built my own
lighting setup using 4 39W T5 tubes (2 white and 2 blue) and dimmable
ballasts. I've got the dimmers controlled by PC and have based the times on
the latitude/longitude of part of the Great Barrier Reef.

anyone in the group know how to prune/break-off/cut hard corals. i'm
talkin about bubble coral,hammer coral, i have a couple that are gettin
way to big and will be stinging my soft corals soon, i don't have much
room left in tank.

Anyone know of a websites that discusses / gives info on diseases of the
Regal Tang?
I have one that appears as tho it has several "blotchs" almost like blisters
all over it's body.  Doesn't appear to be white spot ick tho...

What is the proper method of planting mangrove seedlings in a 10 Gal
refugium?Mine have little red roots.

Does anyone have any tips on successfully keeping Pulsing Xenia?
I brought one home recently and noticed it isn't pulsing as it was in the

I'm having problems with high phos levels despite using a DI unit with
my RO unit, and decreasing feeds.
I've heard of the aforementioned product, but don't want to pollute my
tank with other chemicals.

I have been running my 36" tank for 10 months now and still do not have a
heater present.  the temp never varies much more than 1 or 2 degrees C.
is there something wrong in my system.  should it be cooler than this. the
ambient temp is around 15-23C but my temp will drop to 24.6C ...
