Aptasia on the attack.24 Aug 2004 01:25 GMT10
I have aptasia breeding despite trying to remove them by hand so I bought 2
peppermint shrimp in the hopes of them eating the pests.  No luck yet.  Anyone
got any ideas.  I've read some time ago that folks inject them with a solution.
What do you inject them with?  TIA -M333
Minimum Fuge Size?24 Aug 2004 00:58 GMT2
Hi all, I finally got around to moving my 75g reef over the weekend from my
home to the office.  I was using a converted wet/dry for the refugium but I
decided to upgrade to a 20gal (long) tank that I had laying around.  Instead
of keeping it underneath in the stand, I decided to ...

Yesterday I visited a LFS in my area and noticed
a nice sized SPS coral frags for $20 - they were

Small White Things !24 Aug 2004 00:17 GMT2
All,
I have just tonight noticed lots, quite possibly hundreds of very small
white organisms on the glass of the tank. I am struggling to describe them
but to say they move about and seem to jump like very small flees? It also
Skimate24 Aug 2004 00:05 GMT3
I do not know how skimate should be measured, but has anyone
summarised whether "weak" skimate produced by pushing more air through
the skimmer, gets rid of more total gunge than "dark" skimate produced
using less air ?

Help Identify23 Aug 2004 19:03 GMT3
I found this this morning in the tank.  It's approx 3 inches long and looks
like a piece of thread.  Please look at the images and tell me what you
think it may be.  I know the tank is looking bad.  I'm working on that.
But everyone in the tanks seems to be prospering, especially ...

Question on Refugium with grape caulerpa algae22 Aug 2004 15:23 GMT7
I've got a 10gal refugium for my 75g tank. The refugium contains sand, live
rock, and grape caulerpa algae. There is a light on it 24/7.
My question is: does anyone ever prune this stuff? Mine has pretty much
filled the tank and has formed a solid top. Yesterday, I cut away a few

best 'cover' for aquarium21 Aug 2004 19:19 GMT11
We're just setting up our new salt water aquarium.  I've been reading
that it's better not to use a glass cover (which came with our tank),
however, I'm afraid that I might have issues with jumping fish,
'fishing cats' and cat hair in general inside the aquarium.  I've been
