I had a little bit of trouble with Aptasia but over the last 2 weeks it has started to disappear and now there is only 1 left from what i can see.I had about 12 or so but now only the 1. Does anyone know why this has happened ?

I,ve got a 25w Vecton uv lying around and i,m just starting upa 130 gal reef set up just for corals an inverts, maybe just 1or 2 small fish just to create a bit of movement. Opinions please on should i use this uv on my reef tank?

Title says it all. Been thinking of blending it with RO/DI water for some home made Mg up. Is there a formula, or is there other things in the mix I am not thinking of that would be poison to a reef? I figured I would test it for copper and phosphates..anything else bad

I just aquired a large bunch of Halimeda, the first time I've ever had it. I understand that it likes decent lighting, the only place I have anything other than NO flourescent is my 75 display. I'm curious about careing for this, and if my inhabitants will leave it be.
