Hi, all;
Picked up a 2" Rose BTA yesterday and so far the Clowns (False Percs)
haven't even noticed it.  Is this normal or do I have a pair of single-digit
IQ Clowns?

I am losing the war against red hair algae in my tank.  My nitrates are 0
and and my PH is steady between 8.0 and 8.2.  The temperature of the tank is
between 80 and 82 degrees.  I have (2) 250W metal halides that are on 8
hours a day and (2) 45 Watt actinic lights that are on 12 ...

I have a blue tang in my 29G tank. It has little white dots like a ick on
its skin.
I diped it in freshwater for 30 seconds today. Does anybody let me know how
often should I treat it and other medications?

Is any one using a DIY Ca+ reactor on a small tank? I want to build one for
use on a 30 gal tank. All the plans I find are for units that are much to
tall for my cabinet. Would like some thing about 12" tall that can run off a
small external pump like a mag drive.

We left the tank at 5pm yesterday, fed the fish immediately before
leaving, got back at 7pm today (26 hours later), essentially having
skipped a feed (normally feed twice er day). Lights were on timer.
Fish all looked normal, fed them, then one of the clowns started

Have 4 clowns and 1 Purple Tang in 100gal tank with sump, also inverts, soft
& a few hard corals. Water parameters are good, KH=12, salinity 36ppt,
nitrates around 5mg/l, Ca=440mg/l, Mg=1320 ... lots of flow, metal
hailides/actinics. Tank established for 11 months, clowns in tank ...

In purchasing some LR rubble I discovered that one of my rocks was some kind
of clam. It has yellow fringe edges.
It opens up and I can see inner parts, but when you get close it shuts
