All my preperations for one of our biggest fears....the power
outage...were put to the test today. The power was out for nearly an
hour, and everything fired right back up the way it should. Sorry,
just had to share:)

I checked my tank yesterday at around 2 PM and everything was fine. I had
just done a water change of 20% the day before, and everyone ate well and
looked normal.

anyone have a golden pygmy angel or known about this one. found a store
that had one in its reef tank---not 4 sale. didnt bother any corals,
what a pretty fish. i think official name is centropyge aurantis, could

I am about three months into starting my first reef tank.  It is 120 gallons
and I am using an aquaspacelight with (2) 250W metal Halide bulbs and (2)
24W Blue lights.  I have noticed that these lights along with all the pumps
etc.  have almost doubled ny electric bill.   Are VHOs ...

Hi. I have a tetra that looks like it has dropsy and it is not improving.
I've tried antibiotic on it but may have been too late.  Is this contagious
to the other fish?  Is this fish suffering?  Should I put it out of its

I came home tonight to find my coral beauty, partially engulfed by my
crocea clam.  I have never heard of crocea clams preying on fish, but
I find it hard to believe that the fish died, and then just happened

I purchased a white Malu anemone a week ago to act as a host for two
percula clowns.
Lighting was upgraded specifcally to support anemone (and future
corels). Water quality good (no ammonia, no nitrite, <5ppm nitrate,

I need a quite pump for the sump of my 55g tank that is in my office.  I
