Snail overun29 Jan 2005 22:44 GMT1
I've noticed a LOT of miniature snails in my SW tank. The tank hasn,t
even cycled yet. I think the snails may be from live rock I purchased.
How can I control them? Is there a predator I could introduce?
The snails seem to have that little snorkle thing..
refugium, but i still have green algea...29 Jan 2005 15:40 GMT2
I have a refugium with about a 5" bed of live sand, skimmer, and about
55 lbs. of LR in a 30 gal tank.  But there's still a lot of green
algae that grows on the LR.  Seems the coralline can't quite grab a
foothold and spread throughout the tank.
Reef-safe anti-parasite meds?29 Jan 2005 13:06 GMT7
As a followup to my previous post, what is the best anti-parasite
treatment for fish in a reef tank.  (And HEY, I'm not saying hot sauce
WON'T work... they jury is still out!)
Thanks,

online to purchase livestock? please give specific sites, and resons to why

green button polyps29 Jan 2005 00:47 GMT4
Do these do better in medium to low light?  I have some in my reef.
They're about 12" down from the surface, about 14" below my power
compact flourescents.  None of them are opening up, except for the
ones in the back which seem to be getting a little shade from an
Wet/Dry filter question28 Jan 2005 21:30 GMT5
I'm going to be switching over from a canister filter to a wet/dry filter in
my 46 gallon reef/fish tank and was wandering what the best way is to get
the siphoning action going in the over flow box once it's all set up??
Thanks--Susan :)
Acrylic Solvents28 Jan 2005 07:46 GMT4
I'm an American living in Germany and I'm looking to start working
with acrylic for a new marine aquarium.  In the U.S. I can readily get
a acrylic solvent called Weld-On 3 from the company IPS.  Unfortunatly
for me living in Germany IPS doesn't sell their products here.  I've

this little guy will be compatible?  I tried to look up ...
Reef tank start-up28 Jan 2005 00:52 GMT4
It's been a few years since my last reef tank. I must admit I cut many
corners wich turned out ok , but if left unchecked things would and could
have gone way bad...Anyway I'm thinking about a 90 gal. reef ready tank. I
want to see if there is any truth to the LFS guy or is he ...
Chem-Marin's "STOP Parasites" product28 Jan 2005 00:08 GMT4
This is unreal.  I hope I'm wrong about this...
I go the the LFS tonight to buy some reef-safe anti-parasite medicine
for the parasite-ridden fish they sold me.  (Fish = $12.  Medicine =
$15.)  I persuaded them to give me a $5 discount on the medicine,
HAVE YOU HEARD THE GOOD NEWS!27 Jan 2005 21:27 GMT2
Good News!
Do you know how simple it is to go to Heaven after this life has ended?
Some people believe that belonging to a local church, temple, mosque or
synagogue will get them to Heaven.
TurboFlotor 1000 Problem27 Jan 2005 16:44 GMT9
I'm having trouble with my protein skimmer that I bought a while back &
was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what's wrong with it.
I'm getting columns of bubbles running through the output tubes causing
a massive amount of microbubbles. Also, the skimmer cup is overflowing
Salifert phosphate test kit27 Jan 2005 06:04 GMT2
I bought a box of Salifert test kit for phosphate, and I have already lost
the instruction sheet. Does anyone know the proper steps for running the
tests? I found my 5 year old version, but they've change the contents. I've
tried the website, but that it's not a good reference...
Diy Live Rock27 Jan 2005 05:09 GMT8
I once found a web page that told about reef safe materials on how to make
archs and different formations. Anyone know of a good diy web-site that
breaks this down, and what cement type mixes are actually reef safe?
