Reef tanks and hurricanes are a bad mix.06 Jan 2005 09:13 GMT14
These guys are tuff, but I can't imagine how I could keep them going
with a generator.
I have been blessed with 110v only as one leg of my service fell off
on the pole.

Wild and Crazy Yellow Tang06 Jan 2005 03:04 GMT5
I have the most beautiful Yellow Tang except for one thing, he's wild
and crazy.  I am at the point where it might be time to take him back
to his LFS home so that I can have the chance to have other fish and
calm my tank, unless someone has a suggestion or idea I have not
resiliant mantis05 Jan 2005 22:39 GMT13
I tried removing the rock it lived in.  I put it in the sump.  I then tried
attacking it in it's rock and it kept punching the syringe needle.
I then tried a freshwater dip for 5 minutes and still no signs of live.
I tried a 10 minute air exposure and no signs of live, no clicks or ...

remove bio balls from wet to dry?05 Jan 2005 21:59 GMT7
Well I listen to a couple of people on here who said remove my bio balls

I'm thinking of buying an RO DI filter.  I ran across this on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20756&item=4337497773&rd=1
What is your thinking on buying used units?  Can you just hook it up in the
Laundry room and then be able to make saltwater all day?

Overflow Screen ?05 Jan 2005 18:24 GMT8
My tank has an overflow with teeth with gaps between that the water
flows through (as most do).  The gaps are about 1/4" wide, plenty big
enough for (just as examples) two-spot goby, yellow watchman, neon goby,
etc... to fit through.  I've had to fish these guys out of my ...

African Pigmy Angel gone hyper05 Jan 2005 09:14 GMT2
Our African Pigmy Angel started rushing around the tank a few days ago
and spending long periods just swimming up and down the glass at one
end. He stops to feed, and he seems to be eating normally. He also
looks normal physically and there has been no observed harassment by

Sand question.04 Jan 2005 18:14 GMT5
Hi all and happy New Year.
I need some advice regarding my live sand. The problem is, there is no
color to it. Pieces of broken coral and shells, it looks sort of gray.
I've seen many reef setups with beautiful light colored sand with is
