Instant Ocean question16 Feb 2005 02:29 GMT3
Is there a website that has the amounts needed to mix up Instant Ocean?  My
friend gave me some in a can, but it doesn't have the mixing instructions,
and now he is out of town.
Thanks.
H2O216 Feb 2005 01:12 GMT9
I was contemplating using ozone in my 75gallon reef tank to help improve
the efficiency of my skimmer and overall water clarity and then I read a
couple of things about using hydrogen peroxide.
The more I thought about it, the more it sounds like hydrogen peroxide
water changes15 Feb 2005 13:25 GMT10
Hi......is it true that when you carry out a water change and use tap

8.0-8.4......and is this ph ideal for most marine fish??
Also....do you have to mix the new water going in-into a bucket and keep
Clown fish lazy or sick???15 Feb 2005 00:28 GMT5
I have a 10 gallon tank with two clown fish, several snails, 5 hermit
crabs, and a cleaner shrimp.  One of the fish has started lying
motionless on the bottom in the corner.  If someone comes near the
tank, it will get up and come to the front of the tank.  It is still
Bristle worm14 Feb 2005 22:27 GMT10
I have been trying to catch a destructive bristle worm in my tank for
quite a while now, and I just caught a half of him! (he is AFAIK about
12 inches...all I have seen of him).  My question is: With only catching
a half of it, will it regenerate as a shorter worm, or will the ...

Large Stainless Steel Coral clippers12 Feb 2005 21:56 GMT2
Anyone know if there are large stainless steel clippers which can be
used for cipping large pieces of coral.  On occasion, I want to
reorganize placements of corals in my tank, and would like to remove
large segments of SPS coral growth.  I am looking for something that

Is a Seaclone 100 a good protein skimmer for a 55 gallon tank?  Thanks.
Won Brothers Skimmer?????11 Feb 2005 21:40 GMT10
Does anyone use this skimmer?   I've had mine up for about 2 days and the
bubbles produced in the venturi are only about 1/2 inch high.  I can not get
this to skim at all and I wonder if it is a normal problem with this skimmer
or if the pump has problems and is not powerful enough ...

In my new (1 month old) FOWLR set up, I put 30 lbs of LR and for a

now see two distinct layers in the sand. A layer of white about one inch

Newbie to saltwater with questions11 Feb 2005 15:45 GMT10
I currently have 14 freshwater tanks and just won an auction on ebay for my
first saltwater tank.  I am going to go pick it up in a couple of weeks
because I want to get a couple of things ready first (protein skimmer, foods
they like, etc.).  I have googled the fish that come ...
Is salt OK?11 Feb 2005 12:43 GMT2
Half way through my 5 gal bucket of corallife salt, the water I make with it
is murkier than before.  It has cleared up some after a few days but it is
still slightly murky.   Before the water would be perfectly clear after a
few days.  I'm using the same source water which is ...
