I decided to finally buy my first Anemone.  I went to the LFS and found a

crocea clam hitchhiker04 Feb 2005 18:54 GMT1
I acquired a T. crocea today, about 3 inches tip to tip. On one side
of the clam, about 5mm from the mantle, is something's house. What
pops out of the 'house' looks like a snail's head, but it is sessile.
The 'house' is permanently attatched to the crocea. Please tell me

month it has budded two new ones.  The original  has now, within two days,
changed.  Although still full, it's edges have begun to curl down and it's

New Yellow Tang04 Feb 2005 03:52 GMT7
I added a beautiful yellow tang to my tank on Tuesday. He seems happy and
swims about doing his thing. He's not eating yet however and this causes
some concern. I have offered flakes, pellets, and of course green seaweed
clipped inside the tank. Shows no interest in food really.

I set up RedSea Berlin protein skimmer with Rio HF20(1200GPH) yesterday. A

protein and salt water overflows over a cup.
Unwanted hitchhikers on live rock02 Feb 2005 13:12 GMT14
Im planning on starting my first salt water tank and have been reading up on
the use of live rock, and the pesky critters that can come with it (i.e.,
Mantis Shrimp, etc.).  How likely is it for such things to come with the
live rock?  I will be buying my rock from a LFS, that has ...

Brine shrimp hatchery02 Feb 2005 00:33 GMT5
Anyone have any plans for an "in tank" brine shrimp hatchery? Can it be done
or is the salinity of our reefs too low for these critters to hatch? If so,
any online diagrams?
