Fluval & SCWD13 Mar 2005 16:45 GMT1
I've been able to find just enough posts to know that this has been
done, but not enough in the way of description: I want to route the
return of a Fluval 304 through a SCWD.  The problem is connecting the
Fluval to the SCWD and making that connection sufficiently secure so
Poly Filters13 Mar 2005 15:29 GMT4
Are there any chemical pad type filters such as poly filters that have a
higher water flow capability? The poly filters create too much back pressure
for my gravity feed chemical box. I may try to cut one in half (filet
style). I would like to stay away from filter bags and ...

Support your LFS or E-tailer?13 Mar 2005 14:15 GMT6
On-line stores are convient for making a purchase if you live in a
rural area and for looking for a low ball price.
I however prefer to support my local retail location as they have
better service and can usually answer questions about the hobby. And

Reliable Heater Question13 Mar 2005 04:50 GMT2
Hello everyone, I have a question about purchasing a reliable heater.  I
have seen a few types on the internet that have a "thermostat" to set the
desired temperature for the heater to run at, such as Ebo Jaeger, but was
wondering how reliable these "set it" heaters can be.  Does ...
Ish Question?13 Mar 2005 00:12 GMT4
I have a Kole tang that has been doing great (or so I thought).  I have had
him for about a month and a half.  I noticed over the last few days that he
has what looks like two small slices(one on each side) on his tail.  Is this
normal?  It didn't seem to bother him and they look ...
white spot on clown12 Mar 2005 21:45 GMT12
I have a false percula clownfish that I bought about a week ago.  It
appears to be doing fine, and is very active, but just after I bought it, I
noticed a large white spot on its side.  It looks like a large grain of
sugar.  I've watched it really close, and it hasn't seemed to ...
Cerith Snails12 Mar 2005 16:47 GMT2
I recently purchased two Cerith snails from my LFS and am wondering if
anyone else uses these snails as part of the clean up crew for their tanks.
I have a few questions relating to them and their activities.  A few moments
after I put them into the tank (after acclimation), they ...

Help me identify new item in my tank11 Mar 2005 03:48 GMT2
I just noticed on one of my rocks a new 'growth'.  It just started
growing.  Right now, it's a small, thin, white or opaque in color,
growth, about 1/2" in length, with smaller 'branches' starting to form
on it.  Can anyone tell me what this might be?
