CPR BakPak 2R or AquaC Remora11 Mar 2005 01:34 GMT7
I'm replacing my Seaclone 100 and have decided on either the CPR BakPak 2R
or the AquaC Remora.  A sump is out of the question unfortunately.  What
would you choose? ( I have 75g, 8 small fish, 50lb liverock).
Thanks,

Brown Wafer Algae: Lobophora
How do I get rid of this?  I tried pulling it off by hand, but this doesn't
seem to help.  I also wonder if this helped spread it.
I don't want to get an urchin and my tank isn't big enough for a Nana Tang.
Aquatic Systems Unlimited10 Mar 2005 17:02 GMT1
Anyone ever hear of this company.  They make a protein skimmer called an
ASU, but I can't find any information about it anywhere.

Rio Seio pumps10 Mar 2005 08:20 GMT1
I searched this group's archives and found one discussion on the Seio pumps.
The conclusions was they are nice, but nothing like the Tunze stream pumps.
Has anyone else tried a Seio and can comment on the performance and
reliability?
Very Large Acropora10 Mar 2005 03:53 GMT11
Hi, I am doing research at my university and was wondering if anyone
knew where I could find a very large acropora specimen in which I could
frag 50-70, 1.0-2.0 inch pieces? I have contacted many companies little
or no success. PRICE IS NOT AN ISSUE.
Water Changes 09 Mar 2005 23:42 GMT15
I'm having some difficulties with my water changes and I'm looking for
advise as to what I'm doing wrong. I have a 75 gal tank with a DSB. When I
do my water changes I stick a siphon tube into the sand and pump out water.I
then proceed to move the tube several times until I ...
Acrylic Vs. Glass09 Mar 2005 01:13 GMT7
I'm looking at buying a new tank (90G acrylic), and I was wondering if
people had strong feelings on acrylic vs glass?  I've only ever owned glass,
but an opportunity that may be too good to pass up has come around and I was
thinking of going acrylic.  Can you clean coralline off of ...
water test kit08 Mar 2005 05:15 GMT19
At risk of being bashed again at my ignorance, I have yet another
question.  I have a fresh water tank and have a deluxe style water test
kit for it.  Since I've had it for quite a while the main pamphlet of
directions is long gone.  I was just wondering if the fresh water test
Metal Halide: HQI versus Mogul, Elcetronic versus Core & Coil08 Mar 2005 02:21 GMT1
I have a 120 gallon tank (48 x 24 x24)  that I am planning on upgrading the
lighting from PC (4x96) to some type of metal halide.  I want to add SPS to
the mix and feel the upgraded lighting is necessary.
That being said, I am looking for some advice on what type of halide
Air pump07 Mar 2005 04:27 GMT5
I checked Google and didn't see anything definitive on this, though I did see
one suggestion about mounting an air pump in an insulated shoe box that sounds
interesting.
I need a new air pump for my skimmer. Mine is a small skimmer that hangs on the

New to Saltwater...help06 Mar 2005 17:53 GMT5
Recently I've done some furniture rearrangements in my room and I now have
much more room for a larger aquarium. I have kept freshwater fish for about
5 years now and I have decided that I would like to give marine a try. I
have made a trip to my local aquarium store and found an ...
How to keep tank cool.06 Mar 2005 17:13 GMT14
I am a newbie and have just recently set up my first saltware aquarium.
I live in South Florida.  I am using a Coralife Aqualight for
lighting.  The problem that I am having is how to keep the tank cool.
The temp is usually running between 76 to 78.  Ideally I want it a
