Chaeto Question01 May 2005 00:39 GMT1
I;ve recently set up a refugium and put a "wad" of Chaeto in it. I am using
a 19 watt 5100k flourescent lamp about 1 foot away. The plant is full of
bubblesat the surface and below, but the area near the surface is turning
brown. Is this normal? Too much light? not enough water ...

Howdy !!! :)    I have had a couple of large and small aquariums going
over the years that have consisted of strictly freshwater setups. As most
aquarists,  I had always wanted to try something different. I am much more
interested in starting a brackish tank rather then a full out ...

Freshwater keeper for many years, wanting to move into salt water,

cycling with rock and sand only?29 Apr 2005 15:55 GMT10
Anyone have any idea how long it should take to cycle with just rock and
sand?  I started a 75 gal. tank about 3 weeks ago and am still waiting for
the nitrites to register. I've got about 40 lbs of well cured live rock and
20 lbs of sand.  I'm moving from a 29 to the new 75 and ...

Good online Coral shops and not so good27 Apr 2005 22:59 GMT1
Anyone ever experienced shopping with Rosemarine ? Made a nice order...
one of them came DOA but refused to provide credit. Even after
providing photo of it. I had ordered from many online stores before and
had never experienced this kind of customer service. It is a shame.

I have added some new fish to my tank -- Flame angel. While watching, I
noticed my 6 line wrasse that I've had for about 2 years "CLEANING" my
yellow tang and the new Flame. I didn't know 6 line wrasse were known for
this behavior. Is this correct?

I just set up a refugium ( 18") on my 75 gallon FO tank. I have other

existing sand from the tank. I imported some amphipods living in my Emperor

How to grow mangroves?26 Apr 2005 07:58 GMT1
I have 10 red mangrove babies that need me to learn how to care for them.
Right now I have them in a 10 gal. aquarium full of fresh water.  I have no
experience in saltwater tanks, I thought the mangrove would do well in
either fresh or salt water.
