I posted last week that my porcupine puffer had gone off food and Igot no
response on how to entice him to eat. I talked to a respected LFS owner
yesterday (20+ years with salt water). He said that a tank raised porcupine
will reach 6 - 8" and then quit eating and ultimately die. ...

I have just switched over to DI water for my 55 gal. FOWLR.
NH3 = 0
NO2 = 0
PO4 = 0

Did any other companies pick up the slack when Custom Sea Life inc
went out of business, or did the garbage pile just gain another light
fixture?

Another question I have--there are so many selections of coral.  Any
ideas for beginner set up in a 75gal reef.  How many different species
of coral?  I want Tangs, Clowns, psychadelic manderin, wrasses...but am

Throughout the day and mainly at night a 'tapping' noise comes from my 4
foot SW fish and reef tank.
The noise sounds like 'clicks'. about 3 or four in a couple of seconds.

What do the experienced acrylic\lexan fabricators recommend in the
way of adhesives? I've been unable to find an overflow that I like,
so I've decided to build one. I've never used acrylic in a way that
required gluing, so am open to tips.

I've got a 3 month old 30g reef tank setup with 15g refugium and added
my first coral a couple of weeks ago- a pulsing xenia.  It's seemed very
happy and perfectly healthy until a few days ago when a few of the
'fingertips' look like they have calcified - just the very tips ...

Set up 75 Gal reef system...
Ph, Nitrite & Ammonia are all where they should be.
1. How important is testing for calcium at this point.
2. It's been 3 weeks.  I was told to wait 6 weeks before starting light

Need help in knowing how to get rid of red slime algae. I have already used
slime away, it got rid of some of it, that was close to 2 weeks ago. I know
that the red slime algae is one of the oldest forms around, just how do you

filtration than sand bad, and some pumps, some live rocks
i would like to keep 3 max 4 small fish and maybe some actinodiscus or
