more on puffer26 Apr 2005 05:01 GMT4
I posted last week that my porcupine puffer had gone off food and Igot no
response on how to entice him to eat. I talked to a respected LFS owner
yesterday (20+ years with salt water). He said that a tank raised porcupine
will reach 6 - 8" and then quit eating and ultimately die. ...

acrylic adhesive?24 Apr 2005 00:13 GMT10
What do the experienced acrylic\lexan fabricators recommend in the
way of adhesives? I've been unable to find an overflow that I like,
so I've decided to build one. I've never used acrylic in a way that
required gluing, so am open to tips.
xenia problems23 Apr 2005 20:27 GMT6
I've got a 3 month old 30g reef tank setup with 15g refugium and added
my first coral a couple of weeks ago- a pulsing xenia.  It's seemed very
happy and perfectly healthy until a few days ago when a few of the
'fingertips' look like they have calcified - just the very tips ...

Set up 75 Gal reef system...
Ph, Nitrite & Ammonia are all where they should be.
1. How important is testing for calcium at this point.

Need help in knowing how to get rid of red slime algae. I have already used
slime away, it got rid of some of it, that was close to 2 weeks ago. I know
that the red slime algae is one of the oldest forms around, just how do you

Transferring Refugium20 Apr 2005 21:28 GMT1
I finally have my new home built sump installed and integrated into my
system. I have an old 10 gallon tank that had been my refugium off
line, but still in good shape.
Question is: How/Should I transfer the contents (especially the sand)
RO and pH issues.20 Apr 2005 02:01 GMT5
I have a 35 gpd Ro unit (with carbon and sediment filters, no DI filter).  I've
been reading up on RO this evening and found several references that say that RO
water can be more acidic than tap water (lower pH) because RO membranes do not
reject CO2.  This concerned me since ...
