| Sump Bubble Trap | 23 Jun 2005 01:39 GMT | 1 |
In designing my sump I keep questioning the size of the bubble trap. I am new at this and not a fluid dynamics engineer. My sump will be 48" x 12" with a bubble trap in the middle. All the sites I see have a 1" bubble trap. If I am pumping 2000gph will the bubble trap be able to ...

I couldn't understand why the big brown icky presumably cyano break-out. After siphoning it up a dozen times, I went on a search, dismantled where I had last seen the elusive blue linckia, and found its puny smelly remains. Serious mess. I've changed the water, dropped in one ...

| This is sooooo sneaky | 21 Jun 2005 05:13 GMT | 5 |
Not all companies do this, but Coralife sure does. Like most products, if anything is wrong you have to go to the manufacture for any kind of guarantee or service. I bought a fixture for over $500 from the local shop and they bought it from one of several places. The obvious ...

| Pumps that won't add heat to my tank? | 21 Jun 2005 02:24 GMT | 8 |
I'm running a 40 gallon reef tank with no sump, a protein skimmer, and two Maxijet 900 pumps in the upper left/right back part of the tank (hanging off the top rim of the tank). You can see the tank on the web page:

I got me another fish yesterday. This will be the last one for my small (20 gallon) tank. He is a lawnmower blenny. He is so ugly that he's cute. In fact, he is not just ugly, he is fugly. He keeps making funny faces, he puffs up his cheeks and opens his mouth really big, it ...

What changes in PH-KH/ALK could one expect to see the first week/month after setting up a calcium reactor? I'm worried that I may see a drop in the PH. Current PH is 8.3 in the tank. After just installing a new Calcium reactor the PH reading from

I have heard that there are two major centers for receiving corals and marine organisms in the U.S. All livestock in the U.S. comes from one of these centers. One of them is in Los Angeles, and the other is in Dallas I believe. Is this true, and are these places open to the
