Re-Animating Live Rock (or Dead Rock)25 Oct 2005 00:53 GMT2
Has anyone re-cultured live rock? I have some that has died off completely
and was hoping there is a way to introduce most of the organisms that once
lived on it.
Live Rock inhabitants24 Oct 2005 22:42 GMT14
I got my live rock last week and am seeing things I'd like to identify.
Is there somewhere good to find out what they are and whether they are
good or bad? I'm currently at Reef Central going through the Live Rock
Hitchikers but there aren't many answers there. Dialup is so slow ...

recommend pump22 Oct 2005 18:01 GMT3
I have a 30 gallon Oceanic hex fowlr.  I'd like to put a sump in my
basement, directly below where I have the tank in my living room.  Depending
on exactly where I placed the pump, there could probably be a good 15' of
head from the pump up to the tank.  Can anyone recommend a ...

Are you checking your zoos? (Spiders)21 Oct 2005 16:49 GMT6
I was just looking in my tank late night to see what is going on, and
found this strange pattern on top of a closed up zoanthid.  Immediately,
I had a feeling it was a zoo spider, or predator.
Here are a few images.

AquaC Remora skimmer19 Oct 2005 22:55 GMT5
Do anyone know how to fine tune AquaC Remora skimmer.  There is only one
thing possible to do with it, it is to move collection cup up or down.  So,
what is happening when it is moved one way or the other?  Does anyone know?
Quiet yet effective skimmer19 Oct 2005 11:58 GMT11
I'm looking for recommendations regarding quiet protein skimmers.
I have an Aqua C Remora Pro which isn't so bad but to have 2 of them
in the living room will drive me nuts.
Can anyone recommend one that is more quiet but still works well?
Modify your MaxiJet 1200 for more flow19 Oct 2005 04:49 GMT4
My son's 29g needed more flow, and I've seen various modifications over
the years.  Rather than adding another powerhead, I thought I'd give
this one a try.  A member of DFWMAS told me how he did it, and it seemed
like a good little DIY project.  A hacksaw and a drill, plus 10 ...
