I'm considering placing a 150 g marine tank (60x24x24) in my family room at one corner of the room. It seems I will have 2 joists underneath going parallel in addition to whatever support I get near the wall joist. Do you think I will make out OK adding floor jacks to

I have the Kent HiS 35 gpd RO system. As far as the first filter cartridge, which is just for removing particulate matter as I understand it, has anyone used other types of filters to replace this? Such as for a drinking water filter or the like?

My wife and I are new to this hobby (inherited reef tank from daughter & son-in-law). Have read, read and read and am convinced on the need for quarantine tank for new fish. Question: Would you quarantine hermit crabs, cleaner shrimp, snails etc? Could pathogens come in with them ...

Well, just got my power back after seventeen days. I have been on the generator and inverters for so long, I am thinking of disconnecting from the stupid weak grid. :) I never realized just how much power these tanks consume!
