All water parameters are excellent, the tank is skimmed and I use

As I mentioned in a post earlier this week my new 65g marine tank is in
its second week of cycling. I've got 90# of live rock in it and have had
the lights running on their timer ever since I set the tank set up and
everything in the tank (and I do mean everything) is covered in ...
New 50 Gallon, so confused!10 Jan 2006 16:16 GMT1
I have recently received a new 50 gallon glass tank for Christmas.
Merry Christmas to me. I have kept smaller saltwater tanks for several
years (3-12 gallon Eclipses) and have had great success. However, I am
lost with this newest endeavor. I have read volumes of information now
CPR skimmer mod09 Jan 2006 13:41 GMT2
I have a CPR SR in sump skimmer. It skims very well as long as there is
sufficient air getting to the pump. The little elbow fittings seem to
clog easily, and I want to replace the Rio pump with a maxi-jet 1200.
According to one website, amekaaquatics.com, you can get a venturi
Overflow rates08 Jan 2006 03:40 GMT3
I'm attempting to determine the flow rate of an overflow box for a new reef
tank which is in the design stage. I have a formula provided to me by a
civil engineer that I think is applicable, but would like to know how others
have gone about determining their overflow rates.

It will be DSB setup, so the water column will be only 14" high.
Wow...what a great company!!06 Jan 2006 20:16 GMT6
Placed an order for livestock from liveaquaria.com on Dec 26th.  Waited for
the order and called them several times to see why I hadn't received it.
The last time I called them they said due to them not getting the ball
rolling on the order that Dr Race Foster wanted to give me ...
GARF06 Jan 2006 14:10 GMT1
Anyone have any opinion on or experience with GARF's "bulletproof
reef"?  It's a very simple, low cost system--uses a plenum, 3-4 tubes
of NO flourescent lighting, no sump, no skimmer even for six months.
It seems like a nice alternative to some of the setups you see

Seahorse Fry Swap (UK)06 Jan 2006 08:24 GMT1
I live in Scotland, East Coast (near border) 80 miles North of Newcastle.
Wondering if any fellow seahorse keepers would be interested in swapping fry
or even selling fry or adult seahorses to me. I have been keeping the
Estuary Seahorse, a Kuda species, sometimes also know as ...
