that this group has some real expert info. I've had freshwater tanks for 20
years and I'm ready to "dive in" to a reef set up. I currently have three
tanks a 55 a 46 bow front and a 42 tall 18x18x30. I am ...

flooded basement while filling fresh water resevoir10 Mar 2006 17:27 GMT9
I currently use a AP tapwater filter to create my topoff water.   I was
running some water through it this morning into my auto-topoff resevoir and
wouldn't you know I walked away and forgot about it.  I've often worried
that I'd do this and it's amazing I hadn't done it sooner.  ...
Coral Beauty Angelfish. What does he eat?10 Mar 2006 17:03 GMT30
I just purchased a Coral Beauty Angelfish last night. I left the store
without asking what he eats.. I introduced him into the tank, I fed him some
flake food, he didn't eat. I was wondering he he requires something other
then Flake, such as brine shrimp or something else..
Have you actually used one?10 Mar 2006 03:50 GMT5
I know how to get rid of scratches.
I know you like glass better than acrylic.
I even know about toothpaste, mayo, and pole-barn-stove ash.
My question is:  Has anyone actually used one of the scratch removal

sand bed options?06 Mar 2006 22:35 GMT9
Anyone have an opinion on the next best alternative to a DSB?  I just
don't like the appearance of 4" of sand, or 2" for that matter.  No
offense meant--I know most of you use this method.  But I've had a 30
gallon FOWLR with 3/4" of crushed coral and a canister filter running

Actinics near front to reduce  algae growth05 Mar 2006 19:55 GMT9
Awhile back I made a post that stated essentially that if yu placed
your actinics towards the front of the tank it would supposedly
eliminate alge or at least reduce it. A few questioned where I got
that info from and I replied where. UP until that point I did place my
live sand, out of water05 Mar 2006 19:26 GMT6
