New 90 gallon set up12 Apr 2006 02:30 GMT28
I set up a 90 gallon salt tank over a week ago now, I am using a wet/dry
filter that was brand new but sitting in my attic for four years now, I
loaded it with bio balls and the pump works great. I also have a Fluval 404
on the tank,  a power head and a hugh pro clear protein ...
Anybody with experience on the prefab nano tank setups?11 Apr 2006 21:13 GMT4
I've been looking at the LFS and online and it seems that these smaller
all inclusive systems are selling like hotcakes.  I noted the Aquapod 24
gallon setup, you can get it with PC lights for $200 or Metal Halide for
$350.  It has an interesting filter system that's built in, ...

Hi : I set my 180 up with a Iwaki 100 and other then not being able to run
it full force, its seems to be ok not overheating or any other thing.  I get
quite a bit of agitation in the sump but have a couple of bubble stoppers in
line on the way to the pump inlet.  I have a very ...
Clown trigger actin odd...10 Apr 2006 19:23 GMT6
My wife picked the worst possible time to buy me a fish let alone a
clown trigger. I am out of ammonia and nitrite Salifert test kits but I
do have the nitrate kit. My water has been good but the fish is acting
weird and I can't test for those two parameters. He is eating when I

Hi Guys, many thanks for your input on the slug that I posted.

Ok, here's my conundrum.  I want to set up a 3-light canopy for my tank

story :)).
Here's what I HAVE ...

"Crud" in the pipes !!!07 Apr 2006 00:50 GMT1
Anyone have any tricks up there sleeve to avoid all that waste that builds
up in the line of the sump return or
in my case the sump return and Closed Loop circulation system. Either a way
to clean it or stop it from polluting the tank.

I have a 75G fish only saltwater tank that if I had to guess has about
30 pound of live rock. Right now its on a really light bio-load with
two Marineland filters: Emperor 400 and a canister 350. What size and
brand/type of UV sterlizer should I get? I was thinking of a unit to

Alkalinity situation.03 Apr 2006 09:49 GMT9
I'm a beginner. I'm using a fasTest brand Alkalinity test. When I test my

reagent I add. I tested my tap water and got a result. Clearly I'm off the
scale in one direction or the other. Can anyone tell me how ...
