Some of you regulars might remember this thread from a few months back. I had a nice clean tank that a diseased fish that I did pre-quarantine infected, and all the fish died quite rapidly . I got some invaluable advice and warnings from several people here regarding Potassium

Just wondering really as i have a 125 gallon main tank (uk gallons) and a 35G sump with wet/dry and a skimmer is there really any need for a cannister filter? I have live rock in the main display and in the sump refugium also with a caulerpa bed for nutrient absorpsion. Hmmm.

I know the "which salt is best" is everyone's favourite topic, but I just tested my RO water and my RO water freshly mixed with Reef Crystals salt mix and found the RO water to not have any detectable phosphate and the Reef Crystals water to have 0.15 mg/L of phosphate.

Please forgive my ignorance. I recently(Saturday) purchased a blue linckia starfish for my tank. When I first introduced it, it climbed on the glass and was clearly alive. It now is doing nothing. Just kinda laying on the substrate.

what is the best way to have a scuptured background in my mixed invert/fish tank i want to try & the filter assembly intake / output won`t be affected, i know live rock is probably the best & although i will have some live rock i don`t want to make an unstable background
