T5 lighting question21 Jul 2006 12:27 GMT1
I am thinking of replacing my old PC fixture with a T5 fixture. I have a 29
gallon which I am planning to have as a soft coral/mushroom/zoanthid type
tank. Currently I have 110W of PC and am looking at a 96W T5 fixture. Would
this be a good fit?
Tank leaks!21 Jul 2006 01:31 GMT7
My 75gal tank is accumulating salts on its edge.  It has to be a leak but I
was wondering if it is normal or should I just transfer everything to a new
tank?
Is not a big deal but worries me.

Hi all, newbie and new member here,

picked up a small pill box type of critter in the skimmer intake, it
has pinchers on the back end of it. Any ideas if I should be worried???

Will bioballs work in a power filter, or do they have to have a wet/dry?

How Often should you..17 Jul 2006 16:10 GMT2
I have a canister filter system with bio media as well as carbon media for
my 75 gal (75 lbs LR) FOWLR. I use to change the carbon every time I do a
partial water change. I read somewhere that I'm getting rid of too much
bacteria at one time. If this is true, how often should I ...
Solaris LED and macro-algae17 Jul 2006 14:58 GMT1
I am setting up a seahorse tank for Capensis horses, that need temps.
68-72.  I plan to have macro algae and seagrasses.
Would the new PFO LED lights work for this?
The tank is a 37 gallon, and is 22 inches tall.
R/O Problem with Well Water16 Jul 2006 16:59 GMT3
Does anyone else have problems making R/O water from a well?  I just
replaced both filters & new membrane and it's barely making water.  I use a
water softner so I don't get it.
Are some R/O units better than others?  Most probably all use the same

FW to SW transition, equipment suggestions11 Jul 2006 15:26 GMT3
I have had 3 successful freshwater tanks for about 3 years (10G, 29G,
and 55G), but I've been seriously considering converting the 55G tank

tank, with the exception of a single pl*co that I can probably give
