| Another lighting thread... | 11 Jul 2006 01:00 GMT | 3 |
I just finished helping break down a 100g long and moving it to my house. Quite an upgrade from my 30g! First order of business is to upgrade the lighting. Right now I've got a 4' coralife 4x 65w PC on it which just isn't enough. Where should I go from here?

| Looking for recommendations for a new light fixture | 08 Jul 2006 15:18 GMT | 34 |
I've had my Coralife Aqualight fixture for about two years now, and I'm disappointed to find that the electrical caps (? the sockets that connect to the lamps) seem to be corroding, to the point where I can't replace the bulbs without cracking the caps and exposing the lamp pins.

| Lights and anemones | 07 Jul 2006 22:05 GMT | 8 |
Hi all; I purchased a halide/PC fixture for my tank. 2x175 HQI Halides @20,000K and 2x96 Watt Actinic Power Compacts. I was thinking of replacing the Actinics with 50/50 bulbs. Power Compacts are on one circuit, Halides on another, so

| Feedback on CPR's CS150 overflow | 06 Jul 2006 19:29 GMT | 1 |
I have spent the last couple of days setting up a 180 tank after having to move it. I changed my overflows from using the U shaped siphons to CPR's CS150 overlow and changed the return pump from a MAG 7 to a MAG12. The overlow

| MH bulb question. | 06 Jul 2006 15:48 GMT | 3 |
Hi all, I recently replaced my MH bulb. But the only way the bulb lights up is by giving it a little screwing pressure. The bulb is screwed in nicely, but it seems that it needs a touch and pressure to get it started. It's freaking me out because next week I go on vacation, and I ...

| Scutus | 05 Jul 2006 20:34 GMT | 7 |
Happy 4th everyone, does anyone happen to know if a Scutus (black sea slug) can be poisonous to the tak? I found one tonight on a piece of LR, which I temporarily took out of the tank. I'd like to put it back, but only if it can't harm anything as I don't know if they can "kill" ...

| Critters in tank, what are they? | 04 Jul 2006 15:47 GMT | 10 |
I had a "breakout" of these small white puffy rice looking things that are kinda mushy and are scraped off the glass easily... They are also inside my protien skimmer just living happily. A few of them developed far enough to have some kind of tentacles like a

| 180gal setup questions - wet/dry vs sump AND lighting | 04 Jul 2006 15:40 GMT | 1 |
I have been reading ALOT of the threads and am more confused than ever. The tank I have is an Oceanic 180 - non-drilled, and has a 1/2" thick center brace across the top of the tank. I have had a fish-only 180 marine tank that I had to dismantle due to

| Migrating Mushroom Corals | 02 Jul 2006 16:46 GMT | 5 |
Greetings-I have a 120G reef tank established about 5 months ago. As a retiree, I have been patient about adding things and have put in mostly soft corals and recently 2 clowns, 1 cardinal, 1"exquisite" wrasse, and enjoy watching things develop.About 1 month after set-up, I ...
