My  impression is that the Eheim 2227 and  2229 are canister filters that

some of the benefits of sump, or bio wheel filters.

Hey all,
recently I noticed a bunch of growths on my LR in my 20g reef tank.  I

seemed to thrive and do fine with the brine shrimp and clam pieces I fed it.

  I am re-setting up a 180g tank.  I put new substrate and put the live
rock I had back in it.  It has been running for 2 months with one fish (Big
Eye) and 24 hermits, 24 snails.  I am seeing white fuzzy blobs growing on 4
pieces of live rock.  I am not sure if these are ...
