| Cycle Question | 24 Sep 2006 18:43 GMT | 37 |
I did a partial water change yesterday and the ammonia is still at .25. Should I keep doing water changes? (theres only live rock and sand) or if I just wait it out---will the tank simply go through the cycle and bring itself to equalibrium?

Simply put ... this live rock looks like it's had it's day, but I can't tell what to look for because this is the first rock I have ever purchased? ... Can somebody tell me what to look for or give me an email to send a couple of high quality pics of my rock to you?

| Live rock report | 24 Sep 2006 03:42 GMT | 2 |
A few weeks ago, I ordered 30 pounds of uncured "Tonga Deep" from Foster & Smith. This is supposed to be larger pieces for larger tanks. It arrived two days later by Fed Ex, packed in a foam box inside a cardboard box. When the box was opened, the pieces didn't look quite as ...

So in my tank I have a foxface and blue tang amongst other things. My foxface frequently deposits what I guess are eggs, but I could be completely wrong. It's granular and whiteish, for all I know it could be sand, but does not resemble standard detritus. The other day whilst

| FOWLR to REEF tank | 23 Sep 2006 00:20 GMT | 1 |
I have an established 75 gal FOWLR tank. 75 lbs of LR and 4 " sand bed. I'm using a canister filtration system with bio media as well as carbon, Prizm Protein Skimmer, MAG 7 drive for circulation. I'm thinking of adding corals to make it into a reef tank. I know I need to get ...

| PH lvl | 22 Sep 2006 19:12 GMT | 7 |
According to my recent water test my PH is low. (Results below) The prefered numbers come from the test kit. I'm not concerned about the amonia because this tank is still cycling. Focusing on the PH will adding more rocks to the water cause the PH to rise more? Should I just ...

| Opinion on which sump to get???? | 21 Sep 2006 17:18 GMT | 11 |
I'm looking at combining my 29 gallon and 46 gallon fish/reef tanks into a 75 gallon fish/reef tank. I saw these two sumps but can't decide which would be better for the 75 gallon tank: http://www.petsolutions.com/Small+Pro+Clear+Mud+Sump-I-85076024-I-.aspx

| Bad Day at Black Rock | 20 Sep 2006 10:52 GMT | 4 |
Bad Day at Black Rock----- great movie, probably bad aquarium situation. Even with the Bio-Spira, my ammonia level spiked up, so I did the ol` water change.

| Less Alive Rock? | 19 Sep 2006 15:41 GMT | 11 |
I put my rock in a newly set-up tank about 48 hours ago. I figured what initially appeared on the rock would continue once I got it submerged, I can already tell that there has been some die off since putting it in. Some of the "green" areas have receded. Some of the protrusions ...
