Does anyone have any experience with Phytoplankton Cultures

?
Here are some links that discuss DIY phyto.
How to catch a Pseudochromis31 Oct 2006 14:48 GMT18
I have one Pseudochromis in my tank and to be honest I want him out. He's
killed all of my Blemys, Royal grama as well as my shrimp and one Damsel. He
has out stayed his welcome in the main tank. The question is; how do I
capture him to put rehouse him in a smaller tank. Everytime I ...
Question about getting rid of Aptasia?31 Oct 2006 14:19 GMT20
I apologize for posting so much in one day.  I have had to travel a
lot and unfortunately kind of got behind with my fishtank. I am adding
one fish I lost hopefully as well as getting a new fish but first and
foremost I want to get rid of a Aptasia problem I have.
Bakpak skimmer spitting lots of bubbles.....30 Oct 2006 08:22 GMT3
My HOB Bakpak skimmer has just started spitting very fine bubbles out what
I think is the large round output area. There doesn't seem to be any
adjustment on the skimmer. Anyone know why it's doing this, or what I can do
about it? Thanks
Seahorse ponies (babies)29 Oct 2006 17:22 GMT1
Last night my black male "Sunburst" (H. erectus?) seahorse was pregnant, and
this morning I woke up to find my seahorse tank full of babies!  Probably at
least 20.  All happily swimming around.  Very nice.
Alas, I have no special seahorse fry tank, nor special fry food.  I was
Lemon Peel/Mushrooms26 Oct 2006 17:28 GMT8
As with most stuff on the internet, I`mgetting mixed messages regarding
Lemon Peel Angels,Coral Polyps and Mushrooms.
Some places say LPAs are reef safe, some say they may nip at soft corals.
Does anyone have an opinion on this through direct observation? If they do
Question about replacing Clownfish26 Oct 2006 17:15 GMT4
I have a 120 gallon reef tank which had 2 Clownfish, Royal Gramma,
Yellow Tang, and a Sailfin Tang.  It also has some blue mushrooms.
Unfortunately about a week ago I lost one of the Clownfish.  One was
very small, one big.  The one I lost was the small dark colored
Anemones die24 Oct 2006 10:51 GMT11
I am having an issue with anemones, they persist for a month then start
shrinking and eventually die.
If all parameters are good and there doesn't seem to be an issue in eating
what I supply, why they die?
Capnella bent over22 Oct 2006 12:04 GMT4
I bought a Capnella yesterday for my Nano reef tank. I initially placed
it half way up the rock work but it fell off so I then put it in the
substrate. As the day progressed it started to bend in the middle.
Yesterday evening I fed the corals with some phytoplankton including
anemone crab21 Oct 2006 21:14 GMT5
I just got to see the coolest thing!  I have an anemone crab in my 8-gal. hex.
Dumped a few new empty shells in there tonight for the various hermits, and he
found one he likes.  Fiddled around with one for a long time, then I put another
one in there because it's a big larger, ...
What eats bristleworms?21 Oct 2006 13:35 GMT16
I've heard that Hawkfish do. Does anything else eat them? I'd rather avoid the
Hawkfish 'cause they also eat things like peppermint shrimp.

Skimmer for an overstocked 58 gallons20 Oct 2006 20:51 GMT17
What skimmer would you recommend for a 58 gallon tank
overstocked with big fish and corals ?
Can be in-sump style or hang over the back - do not care.

out of fashion to be replaced by live rocks etc. anyway my question
is.. I'm looking at this tank
