I have a very small  Yellow blemy, I've had him for a few months. He's
approx a little morwe then an inch now. Is there anyway to make him grow
faster? I know its a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask anyway

Just did some testing and got a problem.  My water hardness has always been
on the low side of "normal" but not now.
pH is 8.4
Phosphates aren't registering

I got a red lobo several months back and over time it has lost it's color
and is very bony.  It went from dark red to a light yellowish-pink color.
Until recently it would still try to puff up for a while but now never puffs
up.  I'm pretty sure it's a dead cause but I'm curious ...

Hello and thanks up front for all your facts on reef systems! I'm
starting to set up a new reef tank, 40g. I plan to have 20lbs live sand
and 20 lbs CarbeSea Florida Crushed Coral. I have a 10g wet/dry with my
homemade skimmer.

I haven't been on this group for a long time, at least four years, I thought
there was a marketplace group too but I couldn't find it. If there is a
different newsgroup for selling stuff please let me know, and I apologize

OK I have 2 yellow Damsels and a Pseudochromis
(the yellow one with the purple stripe going down the middle, nasty fish)
I HATE these fish.  I bought a fish trap, the canning jar one on
ebay...caught me some snails

I followed this newsgroup about five years ago. I had a 135 gal reef tank.
There was a great receipe for homemade reef food. I've lost the receipe and
have set up my tank again. Does anyone have a good receipe?

I went out for a movie tonight.  When I came home My fish were missing.  I
found them on the mechanical intake.  Water temp was 105.

I'm leaving fow a week and erally dont trust my brother in law to feed my
FOWLR tank.
I have 2 grazier in my tank (Coral Bueaty Angel and a Foxface) as well as
other fish. CAn anyone suggest a good way to ensure then will be fed?

Around 3 weeks ago I bought some green star polyps - looked great in the
LFS - got them home and they didn't thrive....some came out but they
never fulfilled their potential....tried every position in the tank and

Moved the aquarium today.  Found an eel (never bought it so it must have
been a stowaway).  The pictures I've found of the Barred Moray and the Zebra
are very similar and that's what it looked like.  How can I tell the
difference?  Are either or both compatible with a reef?
