Science/Chemistry question:15 Mar 2007 22:58 GMT22
Let's assume we have relativelly high level of phosphates in
the 58 gallon tank. There are three ways to deal with the problem:
- partial water exchange with let's say 12 gallons water with no phosphates
- usage of phosphate removal media like PhosBan, Phosar etc...

I woke up to a Baseball+-Sized colony of Grape Caulerpa dying and releasing
spores. I managed to remove the plant and do a 10% water change before
having to leave for work. I`m only going to leave partial lighting on for
the rest of the day.

I just got a ~ 4" Koran Angelfish (what I was told) but I don't see any
major difference between the two.
Have anybody has any experience with this fish on a reef tank?

It's been over 10 years since I operated a salt water tank, and new techinques

come to the following conclusion, and I would like opinions / corrections
to finish off my understanding.

Are Torch, Frogspawn and Hammer Corals closely related enough to similiarly
place them so that their polyps come into physical contact with other?

Phosphate Remover07 Mar 2007 16:30 GMT1
I made the mistake of adding new phosphate remover without soaking and
rinsing.  Strange, same brand and everything (seachem), and this time I
get the milky white water in my tank.
So, will this stuff settle out, or am I in a water change situation?  It

Yellow Tang w/ Red marks06 Mar 2007 08:31 GMT13
My Yellow Tang recently has red marks on it's body towards its tail.
The obvious answer is that it has Ich or similar and has been rubbing
itself raw.  However, it doesn't seem to really be itching itself or
doing anything odd, and I've been watching it for a few hours.
