How do you get rid of Caulerpa prolifera??28 Aug 2007 17:55 GMT22
Set up my 75 gallon tank a short while back and had a "few small" pieces of
rock with caulerpa prolifera on them.  Not really thinking this would be a
problem I put them in the tank and now have it all over the rocks in the
tank.  Is there an easy way to get rid of this without ...
Adding hermits to new tank28 Aug 2007 17:54 GMT11
I have a brand new 120-gal mini reef, just cycling for a week.
Parameters are ALL screwed up (as they should be for new tank),
but...  can I put hermits in the tank now to start chewing up all the
detritus?  I know in the wild, these little buggers can practically
Current USA Sunpod26 Aug 2007 12:12 GMT2
Does anyone have any experience with the Current USA Sunpod fixtures? This
would be my first MH fixture, and I'm a little concerned that even the 150
watt version (2-150 watt lamps, no actinics) will push the temp of the tank
(75 gallon, all softies and one LPS) up past an ...
Old Light Bulbs23 Aug 2007 05:31 GMT4
Well y'all are going to be shocked when I tell you
how old my 400w MH light bulbs were when I pulled
them out :-)

yet another newbie question...22 Aug 2007 21:24 GMT1
Boy, I really miss what started out as a great spot for newbies like
me to get quick info from many experienced in the hobby, and not be
confined to the opinions of my LFS (though I respect Rusty

What could be attacking my fish22 Aug 2007 20:05 GMT7
I only have a few fish (now anyways) a couple of green chromis, a
maroon clown and a 6 line wrasse.
All appear healthy, happy and get along.  However from time to time,
one of my fish just dissappear.  They are eating fine and look fine,

Mixing Shrimp Species14 Aug 2007 17:33 GMT11
Is it OK to put in a cleaner shrimp with 3 resident peppermint shrimp?  I
have a 30-gallon.  The only other occupants are a watchman goby and a
percula clown.
Thanks.
Leopard Shark14 Aug 2007 15:28 GMT2
Does anyone know if Oregon or  Baja Mexico have restrictions on
leopard sharks like CA does? I'm referring to the min. size limit of
three feet. I can't find anyone who can get them anymore legally and I
was throwing around the idea of going out there to get one in another
Anyone seen the reef tank at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio?14 Aug 2007 14:12 GMT1
Wow...was there several days ago and was so amazed at the size of the fish
and corals they had in their tanks.  I didn't know some of those inverts,
corals and fish could get so large. Saw a turbo snail that was at least if
not bigger than the palm of my hand.  Anyways, if anyone ...

Hello;
My four-year-old maroon clownfish had a white, fuzzy growth on what
appeared to be a scar, about five weeks ago.  It's located a short
distance behind one corner of his mouth.
