I've decided to go all the way and just have it delete messages from
anyone not on the clean list :p

Two skunk shrimps (Lysmata amboinensis) having a quicky in my tank :-)
Last night, around 1:00am with lights off but ambient light from the
room light I noticed a fresh empty exoskeleton of one shrimp and two
New Zoos15 Dec 2007 01:39 GMT1
Got a little Christmas cash and went on a zoanthid buying frenzy. Zoafrags
(ebay seller) charges $45 shipping whether you buy one or fifty, and they
have a perfect approval rating. So I got seven frags. Most have 10+ polyps,
except the bright green "radioactive"(15)  and the red ...
Sump change, maybe14 Dec 2007 22:35 GMT31
I was talking to the manager of the LFS about the ongoing nitrate battle. I
really don't have enough room for a 'fuge with that big wet-dry filter and
all. He recommended gradually ditching the bio-balls since I have so much
live rock in the tank. Well if I ditch the bio-balls, I ...
Base Rock14 Dec 2007 22:30 GMT18
Any place I can get good base rock on the cheap?  Feel like just driving
down to the keyes over Christmas to do some diving, and load up at a
landscaping shop with argonite.

Attention Wayne hater13 Dec 2007 04:39 GMT33
dude,
I dunno what your issue with wayne is...but as one of the guys who
actually appreciates wayne's expertise, can you please just harass him
by email or something so that the rest of us don't have to read it?
Foxface Update13 Dec 2007 03:35 GMT7
Over the previous weekend,  I discovered my Foxface had cloudy eye in one
eye and Pop eye in the other. I placed him in a Hospital tank on Sunday, he
stuck his snout out of the water when I did, and he shot water at me.  (It
reminded me of Flipper)  I added  the medication and ...
Aiptasia control12 Dec 2007 20:35 GMT5
Week one.
OK, I've been applying Blue Life Aiptasia control everyday, more-or-less
the way they tell you to. Here are the first week results.
I hit all the larger aiptasias, and all the smaller ones near other

Off topic question10 Dec 2007 21:13 GMT11
I'm wondering about the pros and cons of an undergravel filter vs. no
undergravel (and plants instead) in a freshwater tank. Eventually to hold
discus, just community fish now. So, when the eheim filter goes on it, I'm
debating between hooking it up to the underwater filter and ...
Crab meets Ricordia08 Dec 2007 14:52 GMT3
I spotted  something new in the tank today. Ive been keeping one of those
Pom-Pom Crabs for well over a year now. You know, the ones holding little
anenomes in their claws. One of the anenomes must have gone to invert heaven
because I saw the crab sporting a big orange ricordia ...
200 BTU's vrs 110 gallon tank08 Dec 2007 01:52 GMT3
I found a surplus chiller, but it seems like 200 BTU's is ridiculously
small.  It would take 4 hours to reduce the temp a degree.  Does that
seem right?
