next week we are getting a new(from a friend) 6 foot long tank. I want to
set it up for saltwater and move my fishesd into it. I would like to hear
any recommendations as to substrate material, filtration, etcetera.
is it okay to just have no gravel or sand or coral on the floor ...

I always hear that when water evaporates, you just need to add
unsalted water, since the salt is still in the tank.  I don't do this,
I always add salt, and my salinity is pretty constant.  I do have lots

Questions for a 10g
1) Can I use a UV sterilizer?
2) Is their a specific group or web site for nano reefs?
3) Any good books for a nano? (I read most books for a 100g tank)

1:  Do chemical algiciceds work well in fish tanks?
2:  Can I buy and install a protein skimmer to reside on the outside of my
corner fish tank?

Sorry to have asked you guys questions but the evil apartment manager
says I can't have a separate circuit installed and I didn't even ask
him about a RI/DO plumbing 'adjustment'.
But it was nice :) But I could always marry a rich gal:)
