well thank you all for all your "kind" words..... I didnt know that much
about the bird when i bought it except they told me it was a boy, I had no
idea how to check them for sex as I left that for my vet to do and he just
told me they have to be surgically sexed so i believed him. ...
bored tiel. . .help!13 Sep 2003 15:42 GMT10
Do any of you have any ideas how to keep your bird busy?  Saiyan isn't
"bored" but he just likes to pick at everything and I was wondering what I
could try to do to keep him occupied.  Once he finds a piece of paper or
something, there is always something different that distracts ...

Our Great Pyrenees had an altercation (directly or indirectly, we're

Hope you can help me out11 Sep 2003 17:17 GMT40
I haven't been to this group lately, but quite a while back someone had a
link to his/her home page that had pictures of his/her CAG (I believe)
dressed up for different holidays.  If I'm not mistaken, the Thanksgiving
photo was a riot.  I'd love to show these photos to some friends ...

Longest phrase?08 Sep 2003 08:39 GMT17
My 6 year-old Congo Gray knows about 40 phrases. I've often wondered how
long a phrase he'd be capable of repeating. What's the longest phrase any of
you have managed to teach your Gray? Cosmo's longest to date: "Jesse Ventura
is my kinda guy!" His latest: "Cosmo for president!"
Tuko's videos07 Sep 2003 18:23 GMT2
I've finally uploaded three Windows Media videos of Tuko & Birt. They aren't
the greatest since Tuko seems to know when I am taping and he seems to be
camera shy. Anyways, for those interested this is the link:

Calcium perches?06 Sep 2003 16:47 GMT4
My local store has "calcium" perches instead of the concrete type.
What is the difference and are they ok to use? Also, I purchased a new
bird that is a few months old, but he has trouble sitting on the
perches that my adult birds use, without falling off. What size of
Piper the african grey05 Sep 2003 14:33 GMT5
This morning, I was eating my toast and having the first cuppa of the day,
whilst reading a book i the living room, half an ear listening to my birds.
Jessibelle (patagonian) was callling "waaaave" and waving a leg about, Noddy
(red fronted conure) was saying "hello Nod-me-dod, and ...
Help!05 Sep 2003 13:50 GMT4
I need some help/advice. When ever my bird [spike] jumps off his cage, or
off his perch, his left wig will go in as normal, but his right wing will
stay out, and he will go in circles almost like he is trying to close it but
he can't.
