Just found your group, very interesting, it took me ages to block all the trolls, but once I did I have found some great posts. I've got an African Grey called Bertie and a Kakariki called Marley. I also look after an avairy at the pub I work and live in.

I have a brand new African Grey (Timneh) who is only 9 weeks old. I have never had a parrot before though I have done a lot of reading. When he preens, there is a lot of white flaky "dandruff". Is this normal? Is it part of losing his baby fuzz? I have only had him for 3

I recently purchased an 8 month old cockatiel, and it has dark colored nails. You can't see the blood supply, like on other cockatiels with light nails. How do you safely trim them? Thanks

Just letting you know RV is doing great. full of mischief would say s/he is a year old now eyes have beautiful yellow ring like you said s/he would about a year old now I was wondering if he should be talking yet s/he whistles, coughs (copied from daughter ) and mimics the phone ...
