Has anyone noticed what kind of music your parrots like.  Berties like most
things but his favourite seems to be Iron Maiden, I think he likes the fast
guitar solos.
Just wondered what other people have tried on there parrots.

Refinish an old cage?23 Oct 2003 01:15 GMT4
I found the most marvelous, "real" bird cage in an antique store.  Very tall,
tiered, vrey pretty and decorative and I would love to have it for Mimi.
However, the finish is VERY chipped off and not useable as is.  Could something
like this be refinished to be bird safe?  How and/or ...
Teaching Tiel To Fly22 Oct 2003 12:37 GMT2
We just welcomed into our family a new cockatiel last Monday.  I usually
don't buy pets from pet stores, but we felt sorry for the little guy and he
kept calling us back to his cage every time we walked away.  Merlin is
approximately 6 months old they said.  He appears to have been ...

except his head and wings.  When we got him his down had just started to

Pink-eyed Baby question21 Oct 2003 02:14 GMT27
I've just had 2 baby tiels hatch this week...one has the normal black
eyes, and 1 has pink eyes, looks almost colorless under the skin.  The
mother is a cinnamon pearl and the father is a common gray.  Is this a
lutino...Is it possible for these 2 to have a lutino?  Will it
Human food for 'tiels?20 Oct 2003 18:20 GMT54
I just got home from visiting a local San Diego area bird superstore
called "Our Feathered Friends".  I've never seen such a huge selection
of cages, toys, food, and most of all, BIRDS!  Their prices were also at
least 20% lower than my local pet store.  Strange how I never knew ...

This morning, I stood in front of the large cage where 'Cuppy' and 'Piper'
live. When I initiate a scritch, I will ask Cuppy to "put your head down for
a little tickle". Cuppy is an amazon and can be temperamental when hormonal,
so unless he puts his head down and holds onto the ...
